DeFi Kingdoms: Everything you need to know about the gaming ecosystem
What is DeFi Kingdoms?
DeFi Kingdoms is a whole ecosystem of features, packaged together in the ultimate blockchain game experience.
DeFi Kingdoms focuses on integrating gaming with DeFi in a pixelated fantasy world. The roadmap is packed with exciting features like customizable land, multiplayer combat and hero NFTS. You can read the whitepaper here.
The native token for DeFi Kingdoms is JEWEL. These tokens play a part in marketplaces, games and farming rewards within the ecosystem.
How can I buy JEWEL?
It is highly recommended to use Metamask. For more information on how to configure your Metamask wallet for Harmony, please refer to this article:
After you have ONE in your wallet, you can head on over to https://app.defikingdoms.com/. In the Marketplace, you will be able to input how much ONE you would like to swap for JEWEL (or any other token).
You can also swap other HRC-20 tokens for JEWEL. However, other trading pairs may not have as much liquidity, meaning that your price impact will be higher.
Note: You can transfer ONE from Binance or other exchanges to your Metamask wallet. However, you need to use the formatted one__ address (not 0x__). To get this one__ address, paste your Metamask wallet address into the Harmony Explorer.
What can I currently do in DeFi Kingdoms?
There are three locations you can currently access in the DeFi Kingdoms app.
- Marketplace: Swap tokens at the current exchange rate. You can become a liquidity provider by pairing any two tokens; this not only allows any HRC-20 token to be tradable on the exchange, but also earns you fees anytime these tokens are traded.
- Gardens: Earn rewards in JEWEL by adding liquidity through incentivized pools in the Garden. JEWEL is distributed to liquidity providers every block. The reward multipliers decrease weekly, starting off at x256 the first week.
- Bank: Deposit JEWEL tokens to receive xJEWEL. The Bank will collect fees from swaps in the DeFi Kingdom app and periodically purchase JEWEL. These buybacks, as well as a % of in-game purchases, will be distributed to xJEWEL holders using the Bank.
News
- 22/08/2021- Launched DeFi Kingdoms app: The DeFi Kingdoms app is officially released, featuring the Marketplace, Gardens and Bank. There has also been a JEWEL<>ONE pool launched to start things off.
- 24/08/2021- Partnership with Freyala (XYA): Freyala (XYA) is an HRC-20 token that also focuses on gamification as well as dApps. DeFi Kingdoms has partnered up for cross-project promotions and features, including plots of land and custom heroes.
- 25/08/2021- Deployed 6 more pools in the Gardens: The following pools have been added: JEWEL<>ONE, JEWEL<>BUSD, JEWEL<>BSCBNB, JEWEL<>1ETH, JEWEL<>XYA, ONE<>BUSD.
